Results of the reg. shoot at the Homegrounds.

This is the report as sent to me by Dick Otto

This was a “bare bones economy” shoot, where there were no awards for classes or yardage groups.  Shoot structure was 100 Singles, Handicap, & Doubles each day.  Targets @ $20 per, $4 lewis in Singles and $5 for Handicap & Doubles.  Dollar structure was to attempt to have eliminate having many one $ bills for change.  All events were run concurrently which created some confusion where squads had to be shuffled or shooters resquaded as a result of being unable to be in two places at the same time.  Bill did a great job of managing the trapline so everyone who signed up, got to shoot.  Many shooters volunteered labor in filling traps, scoriing, and setup and takedown of the trap fields.  Arlene cooked up a pot of Sloppy Joes for Saturday and baked a cake & brownies.  On Sunday, a snack lunch was prepared consisting of cheese, sausage, crackers, and pastries all provided by shooters.
High Event Scores were:
S-a-t-u-r-d-a-y: 16's (36 entrys)     3-100's...Dan King, Sandy Jack, Gordy Horigan
Hdcp:(35 entrys)  2-95's  Dan King, Dick Otto
Dbls: (15 entrys)   1-97   Dan King (Darn good day for Dan - 292 x 300)
               S-u-n-d-a-y      16's: (20 entrys)     1-99 Bob Komarec
Hdcp: (22 entrys)  1-94  Tate Barwald
Dbls: (11 entrys)   1-92   Leo Suhre

Reg. shoot at the Homegrounds.

Melinda and I had the pleasure of helping out at the shoot yesterday.  Beautiful day.  Had about 87 total entries.  Good targets, good scores.  I am not sure of all the scores but from memory there were atleast 3 one hundreds in singles, a couple 95's in caps and I didn't see the doubles scores.  Great shooting to all that were there.  It looks like another good weather day today.  Good luck to all and hopefully there will be even more shooters today.

Dick Bennett

It is with sadness I am posting the passing of Richard "Dick" Bennett.  I received word on Friday that Dick had passed away.  Dick was long time owner of Boxhorn Gun Club.  He was a Wisconsin trapshooters Assoc. Hall of fame member, past WTA Director.  He will be sorely missed by many shooters, friends and relatives both here in Wi. and nation wide.  Service information will be posted on this web site under About Us then Memorials.
